Author Anne O Nomis talks about her journey through the underworld, dungeons & museums to document the secretive history of the Dominatrix.

Acclaimed as the “elusive author on the Dominatrix” Anne O Nomis is visiting the Gold Coast, and giving a talk live at Haven 33 in Chinderah. (Subject to there being no restriction on movements across border with Coronavirus/ government announcements).

ABOUT ANNE O NOMIS

Anne O Nomis is an archaeologist, art historian, BDSM sexuality educator and salonnière. Her name – Anne O Nomis – is a word-play on ‘anonymous’.

Anne is the author of the world-renowned book ‘The History & Arts of the Dominatrix’. Her book has been positively reviewed by DDI Magazine, Massad Magazine, Leatherati, Slutist, Library Journal Review, and Dominatrices themselves. It is used as the training curriculum at many dungeons and Mistress training courses worldwide.

She holds a Masters degree in Comparative Art and Archaeology from UCL (University College London) which is rated in the top 10 universities Internationally. Her undergraduate Bachelors degree is in Art History and Theory.

She teaches the annual Villa Domme event in Europe (www.villadomme.com), as well as online and in-person Dominatrix Seven Realm Arts™ certificate, has taught Oz Kink Fest for two years running in 2017 and 2018, and DomCon NOLA in 2020.

Anne O Nomis discusses how she came to research and write the major book in the world on the subject of the Dominatrix. Undertaking a one year dungeon internship, travelling to London to research the topic in libraries in “forbidden books”, in museum storage collections of archaeology artifacts of a Dominatrix Goddess, and erotic female flagellation prints of the 16th – 19th Centuries, and through to the 20th Century “bizarre underground” and first fetish fashion as we know it.

And how the research and writing her book was to change her life forever.

There will be time for Q&As to Anne O Nomis, and she will be available to sign books after the end of the talk.
